Diopas SA proposed to the cultural association of Nea Michaniona the creation of a section for learning the sewing of nets.
Specialized staff of the company voluntarily teaches the unemployed women and men of the club the art of traditional net sewing.
This is an important social action of the company because
- Jobs are created for the unemployed in the area.
- The traditional art of sewing nets is preserved in the next generations.
In the last two years, through this action, 20 women from Michaniona have been hired, who constitute ¼ of all the employees of the company.
